Well, at last I am officially a blogger. I love reading blogs but never had the time for my own (good excuse? no, not really!) To give you a bit of a background, when visiting the USA for three months I had to home-school my kids (aged 5 and 7 at the time) I couldn't find any home-schooling resources that were aligned with the Australian Curriculum and just had to 'wing it'!. So I taught what I wanted to and guessed the rest. All worked out well. Kids and teachers were happy on our return but this got me thinking about a website that clearly outlined content per grade and worksheets that were relevant to the Australian Curriculum. I also thought this would be great for families who were migrating to Australia and wanted to start introducing this curriculum into their childs education to help ease the transition into school.
What started as a fun little hobby on the side is now a website with over six thousand worksheets and an incredible teacher who produces top quality worksheets and keeps me up-to-date on a lot of what is happening in the educational sector.
I add in my bit from an enthusiastic parents point of view and use the site as an excuse to bake and craft, and am constantly playing at my computer and being creative while also on the look out for news, links and inspiration.
